Depending on where you are in the game, this may or may not work. Since you are running out of weapons, and nearing bankruptcy, this could be difficult.
You will need a unit that either has very good evasion, or great defense, an elixir/vulnerary, and four weapons that unit can use, and either a mounted unit or a light mage, each with at least one weapon. Save your progress, then go into the Tower of Valni, but don't bother setting the characters up. Just start the battle, without worrying about preparations. Once in battle, retreat, and then at the screen where it offers you the chance to save, reset the game. Go back into the Tower, and check the map. There will either be a bonewalker about 4-5 spaces to the left of the boss, with an attack range of 2, or a bonewalker pretty much right next to the boss without the 2 attack range.
If the first is true, set up the battle as I've outlined above. If it's the second, don't set up, go into battle, retreat, SAVE, go back into the Tower, then follow the first process again, and this time when you go in the first will be true, guaranteed.
The reason you need either a light mage or a mounted unit is because of the bonewalker (the one with a ranged attack). Either you get the mounted unit just out of it's range,and then attack it on the next turn (it must die in the attack, otherwise this won't work), or you send thelight mage into it's range to a point where it can attack you without needing the attack to be ranged.
The bonewalker has an iron lance equipped, but a runesword in his inventory. It won't use the runesword on a light mage if it doesn't have to, but on any other unit, it will, which is why if you use a mounted unit, it must die when you first attack it. Otherwise, it will equip the runesword, and then when you do manage to kill it, youget the iron lance, rather than the runesword. If you manage to get the runesword, you can sell it for 1650 gold, which is why it's better to get it than the iron lance.
